SUMMARY

We are the product of our memories. Although without realizing, we constantly carry the stories of our past, the memories of our ancestors, with us and with them we we write our story in the present.
The narrative of “Enxoval”, meaning “trousseau” stands as a metaphor for how our present reality is an inheritance from our past, following the day to day and the trips of the main character.
The stories from his past, the memories that anteceded him are a constant presence in his environment, universe and life. The trousseau, embodying a metaphor for the memories and stories that shape our life, is a set of letters and written papers which he always carries with him in his daily life and trips… they are almost like an extension of him. Having been handed to him, he will now pass it on, so the trousseau can keep being passed from hand to hand, life to life, so that new lives and stories can be shaped, perpetuating this movement in time.
