Hi, my name is Mariana Jacinto.

I studied Visual Arts at Escola Superior de Educação, Lisbon.

In my work, I aim to challenge rules and stereotypes in graphic and plastic expression. I believe that play and creative expression are a way into authenticity and that play and creativity go hand in hand. Through free and playful exploration I look for artistic expression that feels aligned and authentic.

I explore illustration, animation and visual arts in a mixed-media process that merges drawing, collage, textiles and embroidery.
